Henderson Center at 2800 F Street, Eureka, California.

Local business people trying to do their best at being successful; who would love nothing better than to have everyone's shop locally. I love the farmers market they have when they close off the street. I love the Halloween trick or treating that they do every year. I think the City would do really well to think about how they could make the Henderson Center more consistent. I am not calling for big box stores to come in. But just like downtown has its charm Henderson Center seems to be missing something that I cannot put my finger on. Perhaps the city should look into remodeling all the store fronts. Promote the Henderson Center like you promote old town. A couple of the stores need to have better training for their salespeople. No mention of which ones. That open spot that they have should be converted to a two story parking garage. You say it's not big enough for a two-story parking garage check out what the Japanese are doing with such a small space for parking. Otherwise I find the Henderson Center to be a uniquely part of the history of Eureka. Pave the roads better, make them look stylish, take the sidewalks and clean them up and make them look stylish and maybe these improvements would do good for the Henderson Center; City of Eureka.
